Stories: Sarah Tebbe Pictures: Heather Charley

Shutterburg started as drawings of random people in my sketchbook that were scanned and then colored in Photoshop. They were then sent without backstory to Sarah, who created new identities and narratives for the characters. As the separate stories collected, a sense of a place began to develop — a loosely interconnected town called Shutterburg. A sampling of the stories can be found above.
